Family Support
Being an Adoptive, Foster, Kinship Care or Host Family to vulnerable children produces many blessings, as well as challenges. That's why Kentwood Community Church aims to provide a community of support to wrap-around these families through the good times, as well as the gut-wrenching times. Here are just a few of the ways that our church and ministry can support you through your journey:
HEPHZIBAH62:4 PARENT SUPPORT GRANT
Families impacted by special needs, kinship care, guardianship, foster care and adoption often face unique challenges that take their toll on the entire family, at times threatening to tear them apart. Families of Promise is proud to partner with Hephzibah62:4 to remove the financial barrier to help struggling single and married parents in our congregation attend events that are designed for physical, spiritual, and relational renewal, to send them home encouraged, refreshed and with new tools for the next season of their parenting journey. HEPHZIBAH62:4 ADOPTION FUND & POST-ADOPTION SUPPORT FUND
Kentwood Community Church and Families of Promise is proud to partner with Hephzibah62:4, to help make adoption affordable for families in our congregation. The fund is also available to help strengthen adoptive families by providing funding for related counseling services to those lacking insurance coverage. More information...
CLOSET OF HOPE
Families of Promise and KCC is proud to partner with Closet of Hope to provide Foster, Adoptive, Kinship, Guardianship and Safe Families in our community, who have urgent or ongoing needs, with clothing and supplies for new child placements and growing children. More information...
