Families of Promise is Pursuing God's Leading In:
Educating Believers:
We inspire and motivate Christians to pursue adoption. We
believe that all Christians who are called by God to adopt should be given full support in order to follow that passion.
We work to dispel the myths and break down the barriers to adoption by helping our church and Christian community understand
the Biblical and practical aspects of adoption. Our dream is to help each person realize their God-given responsibility
as an adoptive or foster parent, or their role in supporting adoption and orphans.
Sharing Resources:
We have a wealth of reputable community
resources to offer individuals and families looking for assistance during the adoption process, the foster care process, and
for parenting adopted and foster children. Believing that finances should not be a road block for Christians called
by God to adopt, we will provide support, resource ideas and creative solutions for affording adoption.
Mentoring:
We provide experienced mentors within a safe, confidential environment.
Educational, emotional and spiritual support will be provided for individuals and families:
- Pursuing various types of adoption and foster
- Parenting adopted and foster children
- Experiencing infertility
- Facing an unplanned pregnancy or seeking a placement option.
Supporting Orphans:
We raise awareness of orphans and advocate for specific children
in need of adoptive families. We will provide opportunities for individuals and families who are not personally involved
in adoption to take action in supporting orphans, adoption, and adoptive and foster families.
Families of Promise was established in January, 2004.
